mock... (warning: rumblings)

slept like 3 hours yest cos i studied till a little too late, then couldn’t fall asleep... :X
mock test was... bad... i need 75% aka 75 qns, since there's 100 mcqs... but today i got 59 only... :X ouch. Well two qns were outright careless, i wrote down the wrong alphabet :X, 1 was i didn’t read the qn properly... but yeah, i know there's a lot more revising i hafta do. Shd have tried the mock paper qns earlier so that at least i know i have to take note of stuff like section xx stand for which bunch of stuff... all of which i've completely ignored previously... there was like 3 or 4 qns on that kind of stuff... :X
have to pass on Monday!
else i'll have to pay for the fees of the exams from my own pocket! which will add up to S$214 for just the first 2 exams! and after that there's 2 more....
AND that's not to add in the fees i have to pay for the re-test, which will of cos, be another S$107. No no no... i have to pass it the first time round. My boss says most ppl who get 60+ on the mock can pass after they revise and brush up... for 50+... have to work harder. So yeah... At least now i know what to look out for when i read thru again... and i've yet to look at the exercise book i got, except for half of the 1st mock paper. Opps. just like me to do last minute work as usual haiz. Like most of the work was done on the night of 1st jan, and yest from 11am onwards, since... yes... i woke up at 11+am :P
anyway went out with my sis just now to... erm... celebrate her bday? Not really, we didn’t do any celebratory stuff except for me paying for more of the stuff... and we did go a little wild at the supermart :P she got her pesto sauce, vinegar for salad (well hopefully it works well for salads that is), this biscotto/biscuit thingy... i got a slice of cheese too... brie i think... nice and ripe XD as nice as it is when it gets imported all the way to sg anyway... does it make a diff for preserved foods like this? idk. I'm tried and rumbling...
I got a pack of self raising flour too... shall attempt to bake some cookies or watever with it... *makes a mental note to do so*
hmph what else? Oh we got a cake of course. The same old cake we get from bangawan solo every birthday, cos that's the cake the entire family likes the most... esp my mum i guess... its her absolute favourite. When its my mum's bday, she automatically clears a HUGE space in the fridge for the cake. Its hilarious i tell you! Last year/month she was like asking me to use up a whole bunch of stuff when i was cooking lunch/dinner and i was thinking 'what da hell?' like it was just an over load of ingredients... and all the contents of the fridge was chucked to one side... like totally OVERCROWDED and stuff plied up and falling off each other and i was like 'what??? like...??? why squeeze all the stuff to one side and leave a whole shelf empty?' Only when my sis called me to ask me to clear a space in the fridge for the *ahem* cake that i realised what my mum had been at all day. Yes i know I'm slow.
The previous year it was worst. My sis when to look for a drink in the fridge cos Sg, being Sg, is always so hot. There wasn’t any drink that day in the fridge though, so my sis just closed the fridge w/o taking/touching anything... after that we went out to get my mum's bday cake. Later on my mum said she took that as a cue that my sis was looking for space in the fridge for the cake and went to clear the fridge.... LOL. Ha on my dad's bday its just... my dad can't stand sweet stuff, so although we also buy the same cake on his bday... its my mum who eats most of it :P
So yup, so much so for bday cakes being surprises... not at all the case in my family... and i just totally didn’t bother with the 'surprise' element with my sis today. Not like she'd be surprised anyway... -.-'''
hmph. Didn’t get anything for her as present. I have no idea what to get for her... Maybe I'd just forget about the present for now and buy her something nice when i get my license, start working, and get my pay. But even then idk what to buy for her... ear phones? but she is using the ajays earphones already... :X oh wells... or maybe I'd just see if i find anything intriging while shopping. Went to popular bookshop (Popular = name of said bookstore) to get some stuff just now, got some erasers and a non-programmable calculator that i'll be needing for the mcq exam on Monday. Opps. Just realised i forgot to buy the bottles of denatured alcohol my mum wanted :X Dang. Ever since i introduced to my mum the use of alcohol instead of ACETONE aka nail polish remover for cleaning stuff, she's been using loads of it for cleaning idk what. Last time it was really horrible... she'd wipe my belongings with acetone... and its too strong and corrodes stuff like the plastic casings of my pen! So instead of the clear plastic, it becomes... fogged and corroded... just horrid. Still usable but... it just looks old and sad :( So yes, if you ever want to clean something, don't use nail polish remover... :X I only use ethanol for cleaning stuff like my keyboard and mouse, but my mum seems to be using it in a variety of places... but for electronics, ethanol evaporates much faster so its 'safer' than water.
thank you for reading my totally incoherant rumblings :X i shall go clean my keyboard now... the bad thing about the pretty sliver background of the island styled keys in macbook pro is that it looks really ugly when dirt gathers...
