Things I need to do on DW

- Finish updating arashi_bangumi masterpost
- Update nutty_arashi  masterposts
- Do layouts for nutty_arashi  etc, then open it
- Figure out how to removed the forced small letters for arashi bangumi post titles. Also by the same regard how to remove forced ALL CAPS for arashics... I probably have to write my own custom CSS... Let's see if I remember how to do it...
- Make a new intro post for my own blog. I guess I should start over? My old intro was written years ago and many things don't hold true anymore. For instance, I no longer play maplestory.
- Figure out how to handle the moving of SF to DW properly
- Oh... Making some guides on how to move to DW... Though it feels like a visual guide isn't exactly needed anymore since so many people have moved already but still...
- Finally move that last comm of mine over...
- Oh no... then I have to do the layout for my own blog too? 

Man. DW is gonna keep me sooo busy. Crazy.

Hello, I've seen your list of things to do. As for Making some guides on how to move to DW I have a question. I've imported my lj. All the entries have been imported but not the images of the posts. What I did wrong? How can I solve the problem? How can I crosspost on lj? I've added an images on a post in DW but it diden't appear in the post on lj. Sorry to trouble you again.

Hmm images... I have no idea... For old images not showing up, where did you upload the photos? Could it be LJ privacy settings? Maybe same for DW images to LJ? I need to try it out myself >< Have not posted an image to my personal DW yet...

The photos are in Photostream (public) in lj. When I edit the entry on DW with Rich Text the photos/images are there but after saving the images can't be seen. I really don't know what to do. I thought that with the import I would have the same journal as in lj. I've tryed searching in the FAQ but I diden't find anything. I really don't like my Dwjournal as it is now.

If your images were in LJ photobook, you cannot import them to DW.

You can only import your images to DW if they were on a non-LJ sute (like photobucket or imgur).

This is because LJ forbids any other place from taking any images from any LJ comm/journal. Why? Because according to new TOS, any image and text (including LJ entries in comms/journals) belong to LJ's Russian owners. And if someone else or some other website tries to take anything that belongs to LJ's owners, that is breaking Russian copyright laws.

*Coolohoh, please also include this explanation in your DW guide when you write it in the near future.

Thank you for the explanation. So sad I will not have the images on all the old posts. Now I need to discover how to add images to new post and crosspost on lj.

a) you will have to use an external photo site like photobucket, imgur etc. this is the best way of doing it. if you don't use external site, lj will block images from dw because it will consider it as "intruding/invading" LJ, which is also not allowed under their TOS.

b) i have already explained how to crosspost from dw to lj in many comments in Storm-Freaks. you must read all that carefully to learn how.

For the small caps and all caps.
On the customize css page, just search (ctrl+f) 'text-transform:' and change all its attributes to normal.
ex.

text-transform: lowercase; ---> text-transform: normal;

That should do the trick.

I transferred over rna's layout from LJ, do you still want a new one??

I was initially thinking to just modify one of the DW layouts to have a similar look and not port the LJ layout over... :X

For the arashi bangumi page I used the DW layout so there's no custom CSS to ctrl + f... But I did find the right code to add in the custom CSS so that's problem solved :P
