coolohoh | I'm back!

Back from holiday! Enjoyed my holiday loads but now I have tons of things to catch up in the fandom, in LJ, on my website/blog etc....

It's crazy... I need a staycation!

But what's crazier still... is that I'm going on holiday again in Aug! First time I'm mentioning it on lj... or anywhere public. I'm going to Ph to meet octavia and J! Amayzing crazy. And here those girls was... talking all about the food they'll make me eat in Ph and making me all hungry. Excited! Congealed pig blood! Blue eggs! Whatever those half hatched chicks are called. Roast pork! FOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDD!

The talk certainly made me happy after what was a pretty... idk what to call it day at work. Workputer, I mean, my computer at work, died. Was infected by malware and showed a black screen with just a cursor. Took me a while to figure what was going on... and took me basically the rest of the day installing anti-virus and malware removers. Thankfully the IT center response of a free malware remover worked. But even after that, Chrome was still crashing (you know, that Oh snap message?) and I had it reinstalled. By then it was time to get off work, so I didn’t stay around to see if the issue was actually fixed. Pffft. Basically all I did was attempt to read some stuff on my puny phone, before just playing Hero Emblems. While waiting for anti virus software to scan the comp, or windows to restore to an earlier save point... etc etc. Utter waste of time. I was intending to blog at work today. Pffffft.

So yeah. That was today. And yesterday.... my micropipette died. The pipette tip ejecting mechanism was spoilt again... after just sending it for repairs for the same problem two months ago. Gave up. Asked the lab support staff if I could buy a new one, she said that there was a trade in promotion going on, and she'll help me enquire about it... meantime I get issued with an old pipette. Gah. So much so for calibrating/repairing that pipette last time. Waste of money -.-. Oh wells. At least I got the rest of my pipettes back from calibration. Except that replacement pipette... which was last calibrated in 2012 or 2013. Gah. It's the most important one for qpcr too. The 0.1-2.5 ul pipette. Think when I do qPCR next week I'll just borrow my unsup's... since she just got a brand shiny new set recently.

Just thinking about the number of shows I need to catch up watching, and the number of pages of LJ stuff to read scares me... really, really frightens me off. Oh wells. See you soon I hope?
