Ok. Lj inbox cleared.

Was a holiday yesterday and... well I didn't get much time to myself. Went out for brunch with a relative and my uncle... then went to my uncle's place... and after that we visited several car dealers/show rooms.

There's a low in Singapore where cars have to be scrapped after 10 years... to prevent old cars from releasing too much smoke and causing excessive air pollution... really times have changed now and technology is better... and cars of the present are still very road worthy even after 10 years... but the law remains and our current car needs to be scrapped soon so...

Sigh. Cars in Singapore are mighty expensive. You can probably buy a HUGE mansion with that same amount of $$$ in your country. To own a car you need to pay for a Certificate of Entitlement. Basically just a piece of paper that allows you to buy/own a car. And that piece of paper costs more than 60k now. That's SGD. 60k. How many cars can you already buy with that in the US huh? And that's just a piece of paper. Cars sold separately. LOLOLOL. And import tax on cars is high. Cars are mighty expensive... and with the added cost of that piece of paper...

I shan't comment on the purpose and effectiveness of that policy here... because that's really a debate that can go on forever...

So well. That was a whole day out yesterday... Oh! We had fantastic Indian food for dinner last night... and it was really, really good... that'll come in a separate post another time... (to be cross posted else where so it needs to be in a separate post).

I've finally finished watching Ouroboros sometime earlier this week... the last two episodes weren't creepy/spooky anymore. Just plain sad. Overall I really liked and enjoyed the drama. I'll give it a 5/5 and I highly recommend you to watch it :)

I've got... again... two weeks of Arashi stuff to watch now. At least some of their regular shows have been on break... But I guess this backlog will be a... regular thing again.... Next week is going to be another busy week at work.

Fics wise... I'm short of a fic this week I think. I think my new years resolution have all been broken already lol. Gave up and returned my books to the library w/o finishing them lololol. At least I've written quite a lot of fics this year already lololol.

Ahhh... Got a bunch of fics to cross post here... and I have a feeling I'll be spamming LJ a lot this weekend so... gomen? :P

Wow! It seems like a luxury thing to have a car in your country, 10 years is a really short time, and you are right now the technology has improve a lot, here in México City the cars that have 10 years are forbiden to be on the streets two days a week, and we have to pay a tax for own a car each year.

OMG... I did't know that cars are THAT ixpensive in Singapore o_O
I mean, I'm too poor to get a car here too but it would be much much more cheaper than at your place (especially if I was satisfied with an old car). We also don't have that 10 years destruction rule, that's pretty weird... because yeah, I think lately cars can live much longer than 10 years. o.o

Yeah it's to prevent pollution and all but as you said, cars nowadays can last way longer. And yes, the cars in Sg are the most expensive in the world I think? sigh...
