coolohohCos there's exciting days ahead!
So so so. I was happily finishing up a fic at work when my 'sup' approached me and asked like... who is my reporting supervisor. And I'm like... nobody! Hahaha! Since I'm not part of any group!!! Hahahaha! And she was asking me how much I know about microbio and really... I don't know much! She has a new task on hand and she's too busy to do it... and asked if I wanted to. Of course I want to! New things to learn! New experiments to do! How could I turn it down? Things need to be checked and confirmed though... the 'project' might not even take off. But that she even asked me is a good thing. Well there's really no one else she can ask anyway. But that's fine. That means I'm the one who stands to gain from all of these.
Told her how the last time I did bacteria transformation was in secondary school. LOLOLOL. But at least I know the plate she was holding wasn't properly streaked... and well... why is it even sealed with tape? Shouldn't you use like... parafilm? o.o
Was just... thinking about this and laughing out loud in the bath. She... the closest thing to being my sup is asking me who my sup is. WAHAHAHHA. That's the pathetic state I'm in.... I've not had a sup since like... I finished up with my old project stuff like... more than half a year ago? LOLOLOL. But I still have work coming in... and I still get my salary.... Hahahaha! Yes that was why I had so much free time previously. I have no project! WAHAHAHHA. Gosh this is just... so hilarious. When I was thinking maybe it's ok to call, or think of her as my sup... my 'sup' comes and ask me who my sup is WAHAHAHA. Like. Erm. Ok? I... don't know? Wahahaha. We were both having such a good laugh while talking about it gosh. I really do enjoy working with her... and we were both doing experiments at our benches this morning and we chatted for a bit. It's nice to have someone to chat with I guess. All the days... all the times when I've been working all alone... sometimes not even talking to a single person the entire day (talking to the stall holder to buy lunch not withstanding). Having someone to even talk to is like... WOW to me. Hahaha! Gosh. Speaking of which... before she moved her bench inside... she was like sitting opposite the bench I took as mine too. Like we were both facing each other. Now we're both facing each other again. In a different lab. And working together. And chatting. Like wow. Hahahaha! I'm so happy/amused/I don't know.
Gosh. I do hope this thing can proceed... then I'll be able to learn more microbio skills... and really... I do wish for her to show me how she works in the hood. I really hope she would... even if it's just once... I want to see how she does things. How she streaks the plates and all... I've never worked with bacteria in a hood before... hoods are all for cell culture where I worked last time. Bacteria is a big no-no in there. Gah. She's busy though. That's why she's even asking me if I want to do this thing.
But things are definitely looking up. If this one doesn't come to fruition... the next one may... or the next... I'm in their 'calling list' and that's what matters. It'll be great if I can learn microbio stuff. Knowing microbio and knowing cell culture... that's gonna be a great help for me in the future I'm sure.
