coolohohLast day of my holiday. And tmr is my last day of work at my old place. But well, since I'm starting at my new place next Monday... It really is the last day of holiday for me!
Finally, finally finally did that app review for Nihongo Manabu. Which means that NM finally got a new post in months! Half a year actually. Wow. I have been making updates to the episode guides when watching the shows but... That's proceeding on really slowly. And it's not a new post so...
Let's see if I can try to update it more often. Once a week? Once every two weeks? Lol. We'll see.
I was pleasantly surprised to get contacted to do the app review... Well I can see why they were so desperate to contact a no-name blogger like myself. The app sucks. Mainly it's too expensive. They are charging 3-6 bucks for EACH story. Just way too expensive. I'd rather just get a proper book. Sure there's audio narration... But I would have deleted that app in 5 seconds if not for the free coupons. I'm sorry. I did provide them with some feedback though. I hope it helps. But now I'm hesitant to send them the link to my review because it's such a short, spartan review. Because the app isn't good and I don't have much else to say about it. Sigh. Oh wells. At least NM has a new post. And at least I finished it on the very last day of my holiday.

Receiving parcels!
Got a bunch of parcels yesterday. My taobao purchases. My cityluxe ink purchase... My canon selphy accessories and ink/paper. Yes. I got myself a photo printer. I wonder how long I can hide it from my family. Lol. My room is still as messy as ever... But I'm connecting the printer to the home wifi so that I can network print from my phone if I turn it on... So yeah. Oh wells.
Decided to try making a print in one of those photo printing booths that have been sprouting up all over the island and boy was it expensive. A postcard size print, photo collage of 4 photos. 5 freaking bucks. I was like. Never again man! So freaking god damn expensive. My canon selphy CP1300 plus the initial pack of 108 postcard sized photo paper + ink only costs me around 200 bucks. That's less than $2 per print. Including equipment cost! Considering the fact that I really want to make some 'fancy' journal pages with photos and pretty washi tapes, stamps and stickers (looks at my massive stash of journaling supplies)... Yeah. I just went for it. Refills for the printer will cost about 35 cents or so per print. Obviously a hell lot cheaper than $5. And if I were to get active on DW/SF again and host some activities... Yup, the photo printer will be sure to come in handy. Now I can give out nice quality prints as presents! Yay!
So yes... I spent yesterday ripping off the plastic covers of a bunch of washi tapes. Basically all those purchased at the start of the year in Japan and after... And now I'm wondering how to ever use them up. Lol.
Work wise... I finally got the email from the HR on monday. About my exit interview tmr. There are some papers to fill up... Might end up filling them up tmr. Or maybe tonight, if I'm feeling a bit more hardworking.
Got a message from my vice section leader this morning saying that we'll have lunch together tmr. Wonder if anyone is still interested in having dinner with me. I mean, they only casually mentioned it the friday before. Idk if they really mean it. Maybe I'll be surprised. Idk... Never been really close to the routine lab people after all. We from the molecular side are treated as outsiders. Sigh. Oh wells. Gotta remember to bring out my package for the hobo buddy exchange to mail out too. I bought a bunch of washi tapes and stickers... I really hope my recipient likes it. I mean... I ordered them from ez-buy after all so I'm not sure about the quality of everything. But to make up for that I could get a lot more bang for my buck... And some of the washi tapes... I did check - I was unwrapping my stash yesterday remember? The designs looks absolutely stunning. Love the forbidden palace one. It's a really broad tape too, not at all that cheap even though I got it from China. Probably some hits and misses but yeah... And the drawing pens that I got. Hope she likes them! And this package had better not go missing else I'd be so pissed. Definitely sending it with tracking. The shipping fee is gonna cost me lol. It's heavy! Oh wells. I did agree to take part in the exchange after all. I wonder what I'd get. I kinda like surprises. Which is why I'm tempted to sign up for some kinda subscription box... But man... Those stuff are expensive. Maybe just for two months or something? Idk. I mean... I don't even know if I'd use the stuff in those subscription box. After all my washi tape stash can't even fit into a single drawer anymore. And I have quite a few boxes of stickers... Hmmm....
As for reading of papers... I managed one paper and a bit. I did start jotting down some notes on my brand new Rhodia notebook though. With my fancy new pilot VP. All set for using my fountain pens in astar. Lol.
Other than that... I'm also proud to say that I cleaned my fan yesterday. Lol. Long overdue. But I do hate the smell of wet dust and so I absolutely dread it when my fan gets dirty. If only those bladeless fans were a ton more affordable. I'd get one. Lol. No fuss cleaning up. But as of now it's only maybe 10-20x too expensive? Thanks but no thanks.
Still have not packed up my room. Lol. It's in such a big mess. Though I did do my ink swabs and cleared out the bunch of taobao inks that's been sitting on my desk waiting to be swabbed for the longest time. But really 'cleaning up' just means that I transferred the small bottles of inks to this drawer that was holding mooncakes. Got the mooncakes from a vendor at work and I took back the box for that express purpose. But alas, I have no space to put that drawer. Lol. Problems. More problems.
All that notebook and paper. But nowhere to put them. So many pens too. I need to clean up and keep some fountain pens to make space on my desk. But at the same time, I'm buying new pens and yesterday I inked up another 4. And I still have a bunch of new pens that I've never inked. Lol. What to do? Welcome to my rabbit hole. A very messy, cluttered hole indeed. Opps.
Also in other news... J is helping me to sign up for JFC! Yay. But I have no money for a trip to Japan. Lol. Bankrupt. Better start saving up... Damn... :X
Been keeping up with my art and calligraphy stuff... And mapling a lot. Doing quests to level up my maple tree fest mule now. My 4th character. A bishop. Level 43 now... Maybe I can get him to lvl 60 today, and lvl 100 by next week? Maybe. Or maybe not. Hmmph. I need 10 characters at level 100. Lol. I only have 3 now. Oh wells. Slowly it does. Decided to give up on Animal Crossing and Tap Titans 2 and just go with maple. I do miss that PC game so much. I spent half my life playing it after all....
Oh wells.
Fishing MJ. At a loss what to write. No idea at all and unfortunately the prompts are of no help. Lol. Did brainstorm a nice storyline, but I think I'll save that storyline for just my regular fics. It's too complicated and stuff... And I do want to keep it that way.... As a challenge to myself to see how I can apply the stuff I learnt from watching that 神探狄仁杰 drama series. Well who knows what would come out from that plot. If anything at all... But I do need to think of something else that I can write for Fishing MJ. Lol.
