Mary Crawford in Mansfield Park (Jane Austen) did say, "Nothing ever fatigues me but doing what I do not like." Something that is applicable to most people, I dare say.
I'm on SF, but not interested in card exchanges because (1) I have already have my own X'mas correspondence etc that I've prepared so that my mum can send off when the time comes if I'm incapacitated for whatever reason, (2) I never know when I'll be "dead to the world" due to flareups or hospitalisations.
