lol... so many of my LJ friends have bday around mine :)
Happy birthday to everyone who bday was within this week :P
this year, i didnt forget my birthday... no less because my friend wanted to meet up for dinner to celebrate, and the day before my parents and sis was bugging me what time i could go home the next day.
And what a feast dinner was.
my parents went to a seafood wholesale store and bought like 12 fresh oysters and 2 abalone. Fresh. All canadian this time. The oyster was marvelous. Very crispy... the juice was thick and milky, and kind of tasted of roe... quite a unique taste compared to the other fresh oysters i've tried before. I wonder how much they spent last night... seafood is probably cheap in places where you're from, but not so when its air flown over to singapore... the abalone were like $16 each... but first time i've eaten fresh abalone before... they were wringing about so much before my dad dug them out of their shell. yup... we 'murdered' two abalones last night... :X the oysters were opened by the shop assistant... well not as fresh as when you open it just before eating, but good enough for us... saves a lot of hassle since we dont buy oysters often enough to master the technique of oyster opening :P i think those were like... either 3 or 6 bucks each. i forgot ><
and there was good chinese food before the oysters... beef noodles and dim sum. and at the end of the abalone sashimi we had cake. I was a full and happy girl :)
And so with that, i'm 24 already...!
Now on my job...
I finally managed to get a call thru to the clinic (was put to the answer machine so many times) and confirmed that i didnt need to book an appointment for the pre-employment checkup. the only obstacle left to my new job.
And my current one? I can barely stand my boss anymore. I dont want to wake up at 6am to do the cell harvesting for injection anymore. I wish i gave her a two weeks notice period instead of three. or even just one week. three is just way too long. i hope the some admin things clog things up somewhere somehow. by hook or by crook i'll find a way out of this one.
and on to some good news! the Yama fic contest that i signed up for like two months ago... which closes on this sunday... yup i've started writing something today. during work hours of course haha. i'm hoping it get it finished tomorrow... and i do have some idea going in my head for the fundraiser fic for![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
