Aiba will star in a new drama - ようこそ、わが家へ.
Googled the title and a bunch of news articles came out.
After Jun and Ohno, Aiba will be the third person to star in a Getsu-ku drama.
Yes! Getsu-ku!!! Can you freaking believe it?????
That magical Getsu-ku slot! And Aiba, yes Arashi's Aiba Masaki is the lead.
And honestly, I've always thought that Aiba was better off in variety than acting. Well perhaps you can say that he didn't have much luck with the script in Mikeneko so it wasn't really his fault... but still!
What's a deal about Getsu-ku you ask? Well first, it means Monday 9pm.
Because that's when the most popular dramas are aired. See the word 'Getsuku' even has its own wiki page (though it's a short one). Basically it's because the Japanese loves baseball, and baseball matches takes precedence over everything else on TV. However, there's generally no baseball matches on Monday nights, so dramas aired on Monday nights won't be delayed/stopped because of baseball. Or even if it wasn't delayed, it won't have to compete with baseball matches for viewer-ship. Remember the days when Arashi just did nothing and slacked around in PJs in what was it, D no Arashi? That's cos there were baseball matches going on in the same day, so instead of doing loads of stuff to try and increase their viewer-ship (fight with the baseball match so to speak), our boys decided to just slack. As for why 9pm? Because it's apparently the timing that most people would finish dinner and sit in front of the TV to watch something. Put together, Monday 9pm became the 'premium slot' for dramas.
Checked out a couple of articles online, nothing much interesting about them. But well... Aiba will be acting as the elder brother of Arimura Kasumi. That's the second time they are acting together.
I'll just translate a single news article. Well it's mostly focused on the female lead, but I couldn't find better (and yet not overly lengthy) article. PS: Just a rough translation, not perfect by any means. It's hard to translate the tons of descriptive words used.

『ようこそ、わが家へ』は、『半沢直樹』（TBS）、『花咲舞が黙ってない』（日本テレビ）の原作者として知られ、経済小説のイメージが強い作家・池井戸潤氏が13年7月に発表した平凡な家族にまつわるミステリー小説が原作。人気アイドルグループ・嵐の相葉雅紀が“月9”ドラマ初主演し、ストーカーの恐怖と企業の謀略に立ち向かう家族の姿を描く。原作は中小企業に出向中の銀行マンの父親が主人公だが、ドラマでは相葉演じる倉田家の長男・健太に置き換え、一家がストーカーにストーリーが再構築される。
"Youkoso, Wagaya e" is by the original author of "Hanzawa Naoki" (TBS) and "Hanasaki Mai ga Damattenai" (NTV). It was published by the novelist with a flair for economics related novels, Mr. Ikedou Jun in July 2013. The original novel is about the mystery surrounding a normal family. Popular idol group Arashi's Aiba Masaki will act in a "Getsu-ku" drama for the first time, painting a picture of the terrors of a stalker and a family standing up against the schemes of business corporations. Although in the novel, the protagonist is the father - a banker being transferred to a small and medium enterprise; in the drama, that role is substituted by the eldest son of the Kurada family, Kenta, acted by Aiba. The story reconstructs the family's struggle with the stalker.
有村が演じるのは、倉田家の大学生になる長女・七菜。兄・健太や父・太一（寺尾聡）とは正反対の明るく、物事をハッキリ言う性格だが、しつこく七菜を追い回してくる“元カレ”の存在に悩んでいるという役どころだ。
Arimura is acting as the Kurada family's eldest daughter, a university student, Nana. She is the opposite of her elder brother Kenta, and her father Taiichi (acted by Terao Akira), having a cheerful, straight forward personality. However, she is troubled by a persistent "Former boyfriend" who is constantly chasing after her. Such is Arimura's role.
