So i missed...

Aiba's bday, xmas, new years… no fics or any celebratory thing from me of any kind… next up would be Sho's bday ne? On the 25th of Jan right? I rem it’s the 25th cos my bday is on the 25th too :P Yeah. I should do something for his bday... a fic maybe?

Perhaps I should take the time now to come up with my New Year resolutions… Kinda late i know… i was wondering if i should just wait till Chinese new year rolls around to write it but...

1) Continue to blog regularly. I actually set a one post per week thing for my blogs last time, but that was before i had LJ. Well either way, i'll try to have at least 1 post per month on all my blogs. No more abandoning for a whole year kind of thing.

2) Write drabbles/one shots regularly. [livejournal.com profile] ohmiyaskdesu is writing ONE fic per day and that inspired me. One fic a day is just too crazy… I'm not even sure if i can do one fic a week but… yeah, i'll try and work on my half completed pieces.

3) Reviews… once a month maybe? Idk… it's fun doing them, but really tiring - yes i'll finish up that half completed review TODAY i promise! And now that i'll soon be starting now my job, i won't have so much slack time anymore I'm sure.

4) Take part in more exchanges etc. Yes. Cos they force me to write. Else I'd never write. And why am i forcing myself to write? Because I won't write otherwise. My spoken English as it is has already deteriorated severely enough. Being in NTU meant that many of the classmate i was hanging out with (with the exception of malays and indians) speaks with a lot of Chinese/Singlish/Hokkien added into their English. Naturally I follow suit. And i don't find it wrong/disgusting/whatever many ppl make it out it be (like they say Singaporeans have such horrid English and stuff)… its part of out culture, and I feel that it connects us together. But of course there's a side effect. Like how students are often cautioned not to use Internet chat speak when writing their homework. For me i'm used to this switching - it's always been there, but i do feel like its been a long time since i spoke proper English. Doesn’t help that I'm not that good at expressing myself in the first place. It’s a good thing that i speak good mandarin though, it'll definitely help when i meet clients next time. And yes, even in the work place, my boss and I'm sure many of the colleagues are more comfortable with speaking mandarin… esp my boss he's chinese educated so yeah, i mix in mandarin when i speak to him. Hence the reason I blog in the first place. To force myself to write. Like they say with languages - use it or lose it. Plus, writing fics is fun.

5) Tidy my desk and clean my room… LONG LONG OVERDUE. Esp my desk… so cluttered and so dusty.

6) Vacuum my room more often

7) Work hard on my job, and do well. I'll have sales targets to meet, and i definitely don't want to miss those. Miss sales targets = no basic pay. But yeah I wanna do well. This job has the potential to be a huge $$$ maker, and i want to succeed. I won't be able to be the very top, but i certainly want to be above average. They say there are about 3000 odd FSCs in the company, and the top 1000 earns over 100k a year on average. Yes, top 1000, that's what I'm aiming for. I wonder how long i'll take to get there. A challenge… and yes i love it. i like getting challenged, and being challenged. I totally avoided challenge in Uni, was sad, and unmotivated, and slacked off like a king… Yeah. New job, a time to start anew and stop slacking.

8) read the newspapers, do newspaper cuttings regularly. Read the newspapers so that i can clear them, now i've got a whole PILE of newspapers… about one month's worth i guess… sighs. Have to read and clear the lot. newspaper cuttings will be for my job. Selling wise I'm not sure what tools they use… but if i wanna recruit ppl, and be like a team leader next time like my boss is… than newspaper cuttings to show ppl, convince them to do this job. Yeah.

9) read the news regularly. be it Techland or whatever...

That's all i can think of for now… i guess i'll start up vacuuming my room :P
