Welcome to our party!
It was during the dinner time TV watching last night... you know they have those advertisements of upcoming new shows and they often play a background music? At least they do in singapore... yeah i wasn’t really paying attention, then i heard a nice and catchy tune... then i realised it wasnt just any tune. It was an Arashi song, and it was welcome to our party! Used for some advert for upcoming channel u shows about japan stuff... needless to say i was brilliantly delighted. not the 1st time they used arashi songs for the adverts, the last time i heard love rainbow... and there's probably more that they used but i don't watch tv that much :X
but ah... so happy :)
Some time back, i was eating desert outside with my sis and her friend (also an arashi fan, thks to my sis). They were playing random chinese songs, and since i barely listen to/know any chinese songs i wasn’t paying attention... even when a rather familiar tune played, i just dismissed it as something i probably heard on the tv or in other shops, since that song was a chinese song and the lyrics are totally unfamiliar. Plus we were having a very interesting conversation. Then my sis stopped and asked if i knew the song... 'it sounds really familiar but...' then i realised it. We can make it. The tune anyway. The chinese lyrics have a completely different meaning, and it became a love song... so we listened and sung along a little (when we can remember the lines, yes, the original version)...
1st time i came across a chinese remake of arashi songs was... really long ago... before i even became a proper arashi fan(as in, i only listened to a few songs my sis passed me, i don't even know who are the 5 ppl in the group!). In fact at that time i didn’t even hear or recognise the song. I was with my sis and a friend at a shopping center... we were like, on the 3rd floor, and on the 1st floor there was some open space and shop often have promotions there. That day it was the cd/dvd shop and they happened to be playing a disc with a song that used an arashi tune. It was playing so freaking softly that i couldn’t hear a thing... my friend heard it and pointed it out, but neither could make out what song it was... we did go down and look at the cd they were playing of course, but of course we had no idea which title was the arashi-remake.
maybe i shd go look and see if i can find some of these... arashi-remakes... its interesting to listen to them sometimes...
hmm so... ohmiya wedding exchange instructions are out! And I'm writing for...
meh. you got me. i don't even know. it’s a double blind exchange :P
I'm glad they always have some many options... cos there are... some fics... for various reasons... that i cant write. there's a request that i shd have no problem doing though. yeah. I'm most likely gonna do that one. its like the GP (general paper, A lvl subject) paper where they give a list of like... 12 topics/questions, and you pick the one you like and do your essay. Yeah, that kind of thing... only that this is fiction, but that is argumentative. Speaking of which my sis is having her A lvls now... econs paper this afternoon. Her GP essay questions were really hard! A lot of questions were like $@$@$@ WTF do you want me to write kind. Like something about minority langauges... like who the hell will study that topic and have any examples to write about? My sis prepared for what... 2 or 3 humanities topics, but non came out... in the end she wrote the designer babies topic (sorry i forgot all the questions already). I was like 'wait, didn’t we discuss about this before'. And she was like "Yes, for bio". So she was writing a whole bio essay for that thing...
My sister's more of a humanities person... me? I'm a science person. The ONLY topic i prepared for my GP was science. Every single time I'd do a science essay. Except when its science mixed with religion. I tried that once, but since i knew next to nothing about religion (no concrete examples) i failed that essay test badly. I was totally betting on science topics coming out for the A lvls and thankfully it did... i looked at the past year questions and every year there was a science question... but it was quite a gamble... like what if the science was put together with politics, or religion, or anything else that i can't write about? I'd just be doomed :X But meh, that was 5 years ago. My sis says i was super lucky... cos my batch was the 1st batch under the new syllabus and the paper was easy... like my math and chem paper was really easy. No wonder i managed to pass my math :P hehe.
Oh wells... how did i end up talking about this?
Meh. So... Ohno's birthday is in what... 6 days? This is bad. Really bad. I wanna do that birthday review and a fic. Gotta make sure i get it done BEFORE his birthday ne? XD
Was editing my tags yesterday and random is my most frequently used tag (arashi too, but that's a given). i guess whatever that i don't have a tag for goes under random... plus I'm a very random person...
