i know! Its so irritating! many a times it just hangs up so i gave up trying to switch languages -.-''' plus its not like I'm gonna type a whole essay in chinese or japanese, i just want to type a few words, then quickly switch back...

mine is 13 inch mid 2010.

been having that problem since... a very long time ago and i just gave up trying to solve it. upgraded to lion, mountain lion, still same @$@#$ problem
